There is a big break between our IMSA races, but we’ve been keeping busy! We were back at the track earlier this week at VIR and it was an awesome two days! This was our second test of the month after we had a two day test at Carolina Motorsports Park. While the No. 30 Airbnb machine was not in action, we still had an LMP3 setting fast laps. Really fast ones, it turns out!
Mike Skeen drove an LS swapped P3 landing a 1:37 - second lap time. I believe he even scored a personal best there at VIR which is pretty cool, especially for a guy who has so many laps there.
Other cars that made an appearance during the test alongside the P3 were two 2020 BMW M2s, two Aston Martin Vantage GT4s, and a 1976 Ferrari 308. Even some friendly familiar faces showed, including Garett Grist, Mike Skeen, Rina Balogh, Vito Bigioni, Bill Glavin Jr., Marc Sharinn, and a few others. It’s such a family atmosphere every time we are together, I’m lucky enough to work with such a great group of people.
The Jr III Racing team heads to Watkins Glen next week for a similar test with two M2s, an Aston Martin and a few other cars as well. Stay tuned for more updates!
